Silentworld has recently launched a new service in North Queensland linking Cairns to Thursday Island, departing every Friday and arriving into Thursday Island on Sunday. We accept cargo Monday to Thursday from 7.00am to 4.00pm, with the final cargo acceptance deadline of Thursday at 4.00pm. If this service proves successful the company intends to add a second vessel to increase capacity and provide additional flexibility, as well as allowing for the on-carriage of goods to other destinations in the Torres Straits.
